The Temple Body

What is "The Temple Body" and why is it important to magic, love, sex and happiness?

We live in a strange modern age, even those of us who seek out a simpler and more natural way to live in harmony with the earth. The roots of both our evolutionary and spiritual family trees - nomads, shamanic tribes and ancient pre-agricultural men and women - are buried too deep for us to know in their true form...

... but there are some secrets that science and art can deliver to us about our ancient ancestors.

"Science and art?" you ask.

Yes, those things sound familiar for a reason.

For both the good and bad that Crowley brought to the world of modern "magick" I am partial to his definition of the thing. He stated that magick is "the Science and Art of causing Change to occur in conformity with Will."

What one thing do people try to change in conformity with will more than their own bodies?

The Temple Body is the magical body, the body that has been chosen, consciously shaped and formed in line with its true nature, its evolutionary ideal for health and longevity. The Temple Body is aware and alert, fit and finessed. The Temple Body sings with the full potential of the magic locked away in our DNA.

How do we manifest this Temple Body then?

There are millions of different ways to nourish and encourage the Temple Body. On this blog and in my upcoming book, The Temple Body: sacred evolutionary health, we will explore the body systems and our fleshy connection to the divine so that we may better understand the sacred in ourselves, all through the lens of evolutionary health and psychology.

For now, think about some of the many sciences and arts which we can use as we attempt to understand the magic that is The Temple Body:

Chemistry, Biology, Psychology, Medicine, Anthropology, Sociology, Metaphysics, Yoga, Storytelling, Healing, Seduction, Creation, Conservation.

These are just a few of the faculties that can tie together history, language, spirituality, religion, relationships, sustainability and hard science into the web of health and happiness. What do you think our ancestors can teach us about these things?

Are you ready to begin seeing your own body as the temple of your soul? Are you ready to see your greatest potential? It's time to grab on tight to your DNA and embark on a wild adventure!

Hold on tight friends...
